Today is the day some old white men not worth mentioning, declared themselves and their stolen property independent of the power of the previous perpetrators. The founders of our government went on to set a precedent of imposing archaic law in the guise of religion on all but themselves. Women, people of color, those with certain sexual preferences or atypical mental states were held accountable by ruthless men to the law of a god that seemingly appropriately murdered his own son. 247 years later, the sons of those that brought the chaos make their profit selling others your data and you pharmaceuticals. Few are free, most are imprisoned if not, figuratively literally. Figurative slavery is a choice, literal imprisonment is not.
